Future Schedule Update: Southern Miss and Mississippi State To Play Again?

A presser has been scheduled in Jackson tomorrow for what some believe will be an announcement of the renewal of the Southern Miss and Mississippi State football series. Over the past few weeks, there has been lots of speculation on whether the series would be a 2-1 or a 3-1 with most of the games in Starkville. It now appears that the series will be a 1-1 with a home game on each school's campus. It is unclear when the series will start, but there have been rumors that the first game will be in 2011 or 2012. More details will be available after tomorrow's press conference.

The Golden Eagles and Bulldogs have not played each other since 1990. USM leads the all-time series 14-12-1.
