Golden Eagles fans will be able to watch the October 10th Southern Miss - Louisville football game on ESPNU. Game time is set for 6:30pm central time.
Freshman punter Peter Boehme was selected the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance against Kansas over the weekend. He averaged over 45.6 yards on five attempts and his punts allowed zero return yards by the Jayhawks.
Southern Miss released it's 2009-10 women's basketball schedule today. The Lady Eagles open their regular season on November 14 at home against South Alabama. Overall, the schedule is good with home games against traditional powers Georgia and Louisiana Tech. Two games are scheduled to be televised: at Marshall (ESPN2, January 10) and Houston (CBS College Sports, February 18).
The men's basketball team is scheduled to have three games televised in the upcoming season. The first game to be televised will be live from Oxford when USM takes on Ole Miss on December 5 (Fox Sports Net). The Golden Eagles January 2 contest at Vanderbilt will be televised by Fox Sports South and their game at Memphis (February 27) will be carried by CBS College Sports.
