Southern Miss beat South Alabama 66-54 at the Mitchell Center in Mobile. USM was led by Gary Flowers with a game high 18 points and 11 rebounds. With the win Southern Miss snapped a three-game losing streak against the Jaguars.
USM (6-1) returns to action on December 15 against Louisiana-Lafayette at Reed Green Coliseum. Earlier in the season, the Golden Eagles beat the Rajin' Cajun's 79-72 at the Cajun Dome in Lafayette.
